With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, romance takes center stage this week, and we’re highlighting some destinations you might want to visit with your honey. Take some time out today to picture yourself in paired up in paradise, relaxing at these romantic beaches.
Kauapea Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

Aptly dubbed Secret Beach, you’ll earn your bliss at this Kauai hideaway. Find the footpath at the end of an unpaved street off Kalihiwai Road, maneuver through red mud and downhill, and before long you’ll discover one of the islands’ most stunning coastal coves. Pack a picnic and sunscreen for a day of peace with your sweetheart. If you’re feeling risque, strip down to your birthday suit to take advantage of one of Hawaii’s most popular spots for nude swimming. It’s not legal (which ups the oh-so-exciting risk factor) but the beach is barely patrolled (phew!).
Anse Soleil Beach, Mahe, Seychelles
An impromptu trip to this off-the-beaten-path Seychelles beach will get the feeling of love flowing. You can enjoy a snack or light lunch from the cafe (no need to rough it), and spend an afternoon lazing on the sand. Though this beach is named for the sun, it’s after dark that its magic truly gleams through. Micro-organisms beneath the surface glimmer as you move through the water, surrounding swimmers with a mysterious sub-aquatic glow.
Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos
See why seclusion doesn’t necessarily equal romance. Touted as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, you’ll quickly get what all the fuss is about. The sugar-soft white sand stretches along the coast and foamy white waves lap on the edge, fading to crystal clear water beyond. It’s a much-loved locale for sun-worshipers and aquatic enthusiasts and is worth at least one postcard-worthy snapshot.
